This place is 100% authentic and delicious. We had great service as well. I had the sopa de res (beef soup), my husband had the media noche, and the kids had chicharonnes de pollo (chicken nuggets). First of all, this place may be one of the only places left that makes their chicken nuggets in house. They are served with delicious onions on top, which we ordered on the side for the kids. The sopa de res was filling and flavorful. My husband said the media noche was great. We all had drinks and after dinner coffee. The total was 60$ and we are all stuffed. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great Cuban!

The star here, unsurprisingly, is the black beans—deeply seasoned, velvety, and cooked to perfection. Paired with fluffy rice, they’re the perfect foundation for the café’s other specialties. The ropa vieja is rich and tender, the lechón asado is smoky with a citrusy zing, and the tostones are fried to golden perfection. The service is warm and personal; you can tell the staff take pride in sharing their heritage through food. Whether you’re grabbing a quick café cubano to-go or settling in for a full plate, you’re treated like family. The Black Beans Café isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a little corner of Cuba right in our community. Come hungry, leave happy, and maybe a little homesick for Havana.
What a place to eat.. I love them.. They are like family. May GOD bless them. Never a bad moment. Sister from El Salvador ????????. Love and respect from the big brother. For making me feel like their family.
Great food, reasonable prices. Lunch specials are excellent.
Haven’t been here in 16 years (moved to Raleigh,NC in 2006) but the food is still very good, authentic Cuban cuisine. I had the Cuban sandwich and my wife had believe it or not liver and onions. Cold beer and good service. The A/C could use some work but the bottled beer was ice cold. Small restaurant in what was at one time a house - I think. Give it a try. You’ll love it!
